General Maintainence

​​​​​Like most mechanical pieces they need periodic service. Clocks, both wall and mantles, which are mainspring driven, should be oiled every 5 years to keep them in good running condition. Weight driven clocks should be serviced every three years.

​Cleaning/Overhaul

​​There isn't a specific age that clocks need this service. Depending on its maintenance record, most movements will get 25-30 years before a full overhaul is needed.

Wm. C Gesswein is the 2nd generation of clocksmith's that's been servicing the valley since 1984. After running a successful retail clock company in Scottsdale, he decided that his love for restoration of fine timepieces was better served on his own and Gesswein's Clocks was born.

​Larry Cooper past president of the NAWCC #112 joined the company to follow his passion and love of restoration of pieces of history that happen to tell time.
